Android Updates?

I recently placed an order for the Motorola Cliq which runs Android 1.5.
Five minutes later, my brother tells me the Motorola Droid is coming out that runs Android 2.0 which made me feel like an idiot for ordering the Cliq. Will there be an update from the 1.5 to the 2.0? I currently use T-Mobile and I don't have any plans to switch to Verizon. By the way, what are your opinions on the Motorola Cliq?

Motorola Cliq is a nice device. It's nothing like the Droid, but that's just the way things are. T-Mobile is possibly getting the Droid soon in the form of the Motorola Sholes, so patience could be a virtue.
