Help Android V4.0.4 released. Watch your battery!

Well I updated mine last night. Went to bed with battery at 80%. Switched it on this evening having not used it at all and the battery was at 13%. It used to last for days and days without touching it.

On the phone I had a battery drain issue when I upgraded to 4.0.4 but put it down to google+ syncing preventing deep sleep mode. The phone is now sorted. Am just about to start playing with the tablet to see if I can pin down what has caused this dramatic drop in battery life.

If others discover the issue before me, please feel free to post in here. It may save us all a bit of time.
 
Have noticed the screen is powering up every minute or so, staying on (with a black/blank display) then powering down. Cycle keeps repeating. Now looking as to reason.
 
OK, appears to be sorted. Have had to do a factory reset and full re-initialisation of the device. Screen now staying off. Now to restore/reinstall my software.
 
OK, I've been running this for about a week now and I have an issue I can't resolve. It's connected to the screen as before. Every minute or so the screen flashes on bright, just very briefly, then goes off again. And it's draining the battery again, 20% in 3 hours when the device was off. I have done a full reset/wipe and re flashed. The problem is still there.

Am currently downloading the previous one in order to try and downgrade from 4.0.4 to 4.0.3. (Archos versions 4.0.25 to 4.0.7.)
 
And great :-( I can't go back.
I now have a device on which the screen flashes on briefly when in standby, and drains the battery flat in under a day without using it, and I can't roll back to a version what worked.
 
SORTED IT.
The problem is the device does not go into deep sleep, the up time over 6 hours was 4.45 hours, which dropped my battery 30%.

If you go into settings, and battery, there is an option to tick that sends the device into deep sleep mode when the screen is off. It stops apps from waking the device so be careful if you use it as an alarm clock.

Battery issue finally resolved.
 
And another update, mainly bug fixes. Still Android V4.0.4.
