Help Android version

Hey guys

I have redmi 2 prime.. It has android ver. 4.4.
Mi will launch 5.0 surely for redmi 2 prime


So my basic question is
Can we upgrade kitkat to lollipop?????

IF the phone manufacturer develops and releases an Over The Air (OTA) update for the phone, then you should receive a notification when it's ready.

As for me, I received a notification, and then I finished an OTA update for my phone from 4.4.2 to 5.0.

It should be upgraded sometime, but you might have to wait. Xiaomi only released this phone in September AFAIK and it came with Kitkat 4.4. But then Xiaomi like many Chinese phone-makers, concentrates on and emphasises own version numbers for their various heavily modified flavours of Android, e.g. MIUI 6.0 "Based on Android", Oppo's ColorOS 2.1 "Based on Android", etc.
