Android versions decoder, please.

Hi people . . .
I bought a APAD from Irobot Company.
Actually the Android version is 1.6, and I'd like to upgrate the version to at leas 1.9.
Do you know, how can I change the version ?
I already tried to change, but withou success.
Thanks in advance,

I'm sorry but there are too many types of 'aPad' for us to be able to suggest something off the top of our heads. I hear Rogerbrauns firmware is quite good but your best bet is to post your own thread about the topic rather than hijacking someone else's ;)

Edit: Also there is no version 1.9, see my list of currently known versions listed above.

Actually, the only professional pattern I've speen,me vending candy ing workplaces, IT workers by far by the most candy, followed by canyon other technicalllly oriented workpeople. All other professions constitute a distant third ing candy purchases. Hence, I think Androidversion are causaly explaned
; -)

Kransekake - a traditional Norwegian ring cake. Admittedly, it doesn't roll off the tongue like other Android release names do, but it fits the criteria at least!

sooooooooo............ what do sweet treats have to do with androids and robotics? i see the pattern, but not the connection

If you were NATO you'd be calling them Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot...

I think it might be as simple as not having to teach phonetic codes and removing prediction from eavesdropping.

And software devs have been known to live completely on snacks.

Not really "news", but it appears Ice Cream may be the name. A rep (won't mention a name as to not get anyone in trouble) mentioned at CES to us that "while we have not seen Ice Cream, we've heard some really cool stuff is in there". Paraphrasing, but he did specifically mention Ice Cream.

all right, let's take the same format and run over this again with minor modifications.

Android 1.1 - No official name
Android 1.5 - Cupcake
Android 1.6 - Doughnut
Android 2.0/2.1 -

Nine.

I've seen Ice cream as tentatively rumored to be 4.0 for lack of more info. Your list is suggesting a branching between Gingerbread and Honeycomb versions. Google sources are consistent that Honeycomb will be on phones as well as tablets.

Unless you've got some Ice cream news / rumors I've missed, in which case, give!! ;)

I was going on this Android 2.4 Ice Cream Coming In Time for Google I/O? | Android Phone Fans where have you found 4.0 rumours? until now there's been a real lack of Ice Cream rumours/ news :(

From that article -

it wasn’t running a build of 2.4, and now SE is claiming the OS version number is actually the result of a configuration mistake and not a different OS version at all

So - that's kinda confusing about who said or meant what - no one's fault, just part of the rumor deal.

OK - where did I see a reference to 4.0.... ah, it started here:

Next Android Release To Be Called ?Ice Cream? - Elizabeth Woyke - Mobilized - Forbes

And then several aggregators and blogs have re-broadcast this as derivative fact.

ah, well I take more recent rumours as being closer to the truth.
Remember at that time, we thought Gingerbread would be MASSIVE, would need at least 1GHz processors and would be released in a few weeks, all of which were wrong.
At least we're safe in guessing it'll be somewhere between (and including) 2.4 and 4.0 :)
