Android virus or not??

guys recently i was using my samsung s3 i was doing research on mapsofworld.com and then suddenly a pop out saying your phone has a virus please blah blah blah... from lovelink. i have not downloaded and weird apps. is this a virus or a common thing? please tell me what i should do? should i be worrie dor not

It's highly unlikely your phone has a virus, as Android operates on a permissions basis. I think it's more likely push advertising, which acts a lot like a virus and is just as annoying. Try downloading and running Ad-Network Scanner. If it finds anything, it will ID the culprit and it's up to you to decide if you want to keep or uninstall it.
