Root Android vs. iOS 5

So I just watched a youtube video of iOS 5. It definitely has some nifty features. I own an iPad 2 as well as a rooted Moto Xoom and a rooted Moto DX. The main one that me, a new Android tinkerer, thought was cool was the little notification animation! Is there any way that that specific animation could be simulated?! I'm currently running MIUI. The latest Defy Base. Hopefully this doesn't start too big of a war if any at all.

Have you tried MIUI? It has notifications that swing down from the top.

I'm actually on DefyX and I love it but I also love party tricks like the rolling notification bar. Seeing the skills of these developers (DXC!!) I feel as though somebody may be able to achieve such an animation.

everything that ios5 has android already has, the only thing is it doesnt show you the notifcation alert within a game app while your playing, as it can mess you up in a game, other than that, everything on ios5 can be implemented into android, and already has

i bet you there is no patent for it right now, and even though google had it first, apple will patent it, and then sue google for another patent infringement, life story of android is

yeah so look for apple to patent a motion used to pull down a notification to access other apps as a patent and sue google for it
