android wifi connection

hi to everyone. i m sandy..i don't know much about tablets so i desperately need help. i switch the tablet on, it connects to my wifi but after 5 minutes it disconnects and does not reconnect at all. i have to turn it off and then restart but the same thing happens all over again...my laptop on the other hand operates fine...

Welcome sandyzouzaneas! glad to have you apart of the growing community here at AF!

You might want to try restarting the router, otherwise the tablet might want to be factory reset, just to see if the problem fixes itself.

Hi sandy, I would start with Digital Controller's suggestion of restarting the router. If that doesn't work, I've had some good luck with the application Wifi Analyzer. If you download that in the play store, you'll need to also download the connection library. When you try to connect from Wifi Analyzer, it'll prompt you to download this add on for it. Do it.
This is me guessing that maybe there is some sort of incompatibility with your setup... I was thinking maybe this 3rd party software might be able to get it going.

If that doesn't work, then I'd try the factory reset as well. But make sure you back up anything that you need, not sure if your tablet has any 'essential' files, but you'll want to save those.
