Android without FB

I believe the OP was looking for a new phone anyway, specifically one that doesn't have any trace of FB crap in it at all. Which I think is actually most phones, except Samsung.

FWIW last week I was given an EU version unlocked Galaxy S7, and that's got FB installed as a system app. I will however be keeping my Huawei Mate 10 as my main phone, which doesn't have FB of course.

I hate Damnsungs! My S5 was the last.
Co worker handed me his S8 and I couldn't even figure out how to get in the app drawer.
Good example of how to overcomplicate a OS.
You mean exactly the same how Pixel overcomplicated the OS because the S8 and the Pixel both access the app drawer in the same way: swipe up on the home screen?
I'm just messing with you LOL.

Haven't held a Pixel yet but good thing to know about the app drawer. He had some how removed the camera app from his home screen and ask for help. After about 15 min of profanity, I gave up.

The interface on the S8 is actually quite close to stock Android nowadays. Most of Samsung's changes are add-on apps or inside settings now. It's no longer a radical difference in interface like it was in the S5 days vs Nexus phones. On a surface level, the only difference is themes and icons and proprietary apps, but navigation is the same.

I don't know what you all think, but I strongly have the feeling every day the stupid Android os producers are trying to look and function and imitate as the ios..every single damn say the Android looks and works like the stupid iphones..the only difference is the i on the iphone (home button)..
Sometimes I'm talking to someone who is holding a phone and the I say "what do you have?, an iphone?"..then I realize it actually is a fricking Android just because of the square home button..

It's so damn sad!!!!!
