Help Android wont switch to M.D when Wifi doesnt work

Hi

Im having a problem.
In my country my internet provider doesnt work soo good and I keep loosing my internet service a couple of times a day. The thing is that when I get home my android gets on my home wifi network, BUT even though the router is working fine sometimes I dont have internet access.
When this happens my android just stays with the Wifi network even if it doesnt have internet service and doesnt switch to mobile data.
I use to have a blackberry and it did the switch from wifi to mobile data jsut fine when ever there wasent internet service on the Wifi network.
Is this ok? is there a way to fix, it. thank you everyone I hope someone can help me.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100

I have the same problem. I also find when I manually switch from wifi to mobile data or mobile data to wifi while on a webpage, it will not continue to load. I have to shut down the browser and start again.

I get this problem, but only on my works router.
At home, it works just fine.

Its something I've been looking into for the last week but still as yet got no solution.
Switching wifi off and back on again via the notification bar seems the best "solution" so far, but even then, the browser will hang again some time after, could be as soon as a minute, best so far has been half an hour

I found that if the phone was connected to a wifi network that wasn't routing to the internet, it wouldn't then try 3G instead. The solution is pretty simple though - I just turn the wifi off or use a different network.
