Angry Birds - Out Now For Free!!

On my n96 used to mostly download cracked/free apps apart from the very rare one that was exceptional.

Since having my Desire I always pay for the proper version as it does not cost that much and if the dev is actively supporting the community then I believe the money will help him evolve the product.

I love this game so will be paying for it...

It's free because Rovio have made it available for free. It's supported by ads at the moment and the paid, ad-free version will be out once downloads go over a certain number...go on their Twitter feed if you don't believe me

haha i was just about to put this up and i only got an email about it like 5 minutes ago, your quick! trouble downloading it through get jar though but probably because everyones getting it?
 
im getting to the start download bit but its always unsuccessfull

Just managed to start the download, have just kept refreshing lots
 
Don't worry too much if it doesn't download. Getjar only have 24 hours exclusivity, after that, according to CNet, it will be on the Android Market. PS I got to 98% download before it failed!!
 
If you download from Getjar, what happens about updates? Will it still pick them up automatically? Never used anything but the Android market so far.
 
It's not for me, only the Lite version which is the Beta came out a few weeks ago. No full version as yet :(
 
Yep, GetJar has a 24hrs exclusive on it, then it'll be on the Market. Just get it from the upload link a few posts up and install using your favourite file manager :D

Or wait until tomorrow to get it from the Market

Oh....Thought it was the same. First i've heard of this game but cant stop playing it now.
 
getjar are having issues with volume of traffic....SHOCK HORROR!! LOL!

I got the download when it was first tweeted. For those who don't know, you need to do a couple of things to get it to install:

(1) Download the file - it will save on your SD card in SD/Download folder.

(2) Menu > Settings > Applications > tick Unknown Sources

(3) Using a file manager like Astro, find the file "AngryBirds_1.3.5" in the Download folder and click it

(4) Select Install and it will install on the SD card and will appear in the App list

(5) Menu > Settings > Applications > UNtick Unknown sources again.
