Animations to open applications

Is there an application that changes my phone's behaviour to allow it to have transitions when opening applications? For example, when I have Launcher Pro as my home launcher, whenever i open applications the app comes from the center and fades onto the screen ( like when you open apps on the iPhone). I really want this eye candy and this is why I'm not using HTC sense or any other home launchers.

Is there an app that can enable this transition or am I stuck with launcher pro forever? My phone is an HTC desire and is temp- rooted by the way

I believe that feature is built into each rom, and is not a setting you can change on your own.
