Anime/Manga not so ultimate otaku Lounge

I'm on the latest version of Crunchyroll and it says that I am not up to date, so I can't watch.

Silly. Others are complaining as well.

Thanks again to rooting - I installed the version with the old interface and turned off automatic updates in the Store.

Now back to Reborn! :)

BTW - wait until you meet the guy with the Sharingan in Reborn!

Ignore the whole baby description, it's completely inaccurate.
 
I see the play store complaints...I rarely use the app usually stream it to my TV at home...but don't think I have updated the app yet...likely wont now
 
I am watching Samurai 7 on Toonami.

Aside from obvious departures like giant robots, priestesses and magic crystals, the opening dialog with the old man is straight from Kurosawa's Seven Samurai.

Interesting...

... But lame so far.
 
Watching Black Butler finally and so far it is not twisted enough, I miss the edge (albeit somewhat comical) of Helsing. I do see some promise, hoping it will develop along darker lines in future episodes.

I would suggest to avoid manga blogs & forums if you want to avoid the spoilers
Though I would really suggest read the 100 odd manga for the ultimate epicness tomorrow (unless Kishi trolls us by switching elsewhere )

Finished Black Butler, pretty good but not twisted enough for me. There was a lot of untapped potential but they didn't go there. They tried to take a more cerebral route but it came up a little short.

I was out of commission Sunday and just lay in bed and watching tv, finished the last of HOTD, that is getting a little closer, hopefully the new season comes out soon.

Also watched a lot of Samurai 7 and finished it over the last few nights. Interesting take on The Seven Samurai, the characters even had more than a little resemblance to the original characters.

Also did Gungrave over the past month, love the character and story development. I had watched it years ago on cable when Movie Channel used to do anime nights.
 
Anime: Naruto was good I liked that bit with the nine tails but it seems there won't be any serious fighting next week but still seems a little interesting
 
The Next Four Episodes have two fillers :/

The Medic Ninja Arc is okish ...I mean ,Sakura should have little role ...She is a waste of ink IMO (Hina-Naru Fan :D :rofl: )

A & Bee's history should follow it (It is good)

Some inconsistencies in Anime .
Mifune used IAI to fight in Manga(Quick Draw Slash ... Vergil does it in Devil May Cry ,it looks awesome !!!) ,
He didnt used it in anime .
And summons were not returned at night .

I am waiting for the second leg of War esp. Itachi & Nagato vs Naruto & Bee/Muu and (It's a WTF battle in Manga ..I hope they dont ruin it in Anime ...)

Finished Reborn. Lots of video artifacts, but I sat through them anyways. All in all, it is a great series. At one point, I didn't think that things would go anywhere, but it does build and eventually tie everything up (except that realtor...).

Hunter x Hunter continues to intrigue...

I've gone back to the new CR app. To get info, long-press on an episode. Still force closes often if I leave it and go into a few other apps before returning, especially gmail, but that's minor.
 
Watched Trinity Blood, liked it but still fell short of what could have been done with it. Part of the problem I think is the limited runs some of these shows have, Trinity Blood would have been better over 40-50 episodes, not the 24 or 26 it was.
