Hi,
After a good 4 months of dev, we are live in Google Play. Hiyu takes grocery shopping and makes it social. People are always talking about the food they eat, their diet, allergies, etc. and Hiyu let's them communicate that conversation with product photos. Find the deals that are relevant to you, find products recommended by people you trust.

Some background on the tech and process...
We built the App on Phonegap for easy cross platform accessibility.
We use Kinvey for our backend, BaaS. We went them for the following reasons:
- Excellent documentation
- Support for a variety of API's ( we are HTML5/Backbone, but can move to other platforms easily )
- Offline support which was key, we needed the app to function in the freezer at Costco!
We also use Foursquare for location searches, Backbone MVC and the front end is HTML5/Javascript.
Happy to share more details on the dev work if you'd like to hear about it.
