Annoyance with the pull down notification bar...

Has anyone noticed when you pull down the notification bar, all the apps that use the notification bar just moves up and down therefore you open up an app that you didn't want to?

I hope they make all the apps in the notification bar stagnant in the next update...

What notifications are you seeing switching spots? Might be a specific app taking control.

I'm not following what you're saying.

Let's say I get a message on Whatsapp. I pull down the notification bar to view/access the Whatsapp application. Once I pull down the bar, my Whatsapp message would be on top for a second, so I touch it. So right when I touch it, my weather app or another app (Screebl) would go to the top where my Whatsapp initially was. So instead of opening Whatsapp, either my weather opens up or Screebl preferences or whatever app decides to go on top. It's really annoying because I don't remember this happening on my Droid X.

Its usually weather or Screebl. Do you know how to make it stop taking control? Or is this just the way its going to be?

You should try uninstalling Screebl for a while and seeing if you still experience the issue (this will confirm if it's the only cause). I haven't used Screebl in a long while, but a quick search led me to the user manual on their website stating there's a setting to disable notifications. You could try that too.

I notice that as well with the weather.com app and new instant messages. I open it and quickly tap on the message and sometimes the weather.com app moves up to the top and I end up opening that. I noticed it as well on my Droid X2, so maybe it's the weather.com app.

Wats the point of havin a lock screen if u can pull it down before unlocking the phone? I hate that about ICS. I wonder if its a glitch?

That makes sense now. I have seen that happen a few times but only when a notification is being changed such as downloading something or installing an update. Never had an issue with this and I would think it's the fault of the apps that have notifications.

its not a glitch, and I quite like the fact that ICS implemented that.

the point of a lock screen is to prevent accidental input, its not a security measure.

if you want it to be secure, you should use the pattern lock instead.

Happens to mine all the time, very annoying. The notifications in the notification bar are listed in a certain order when you first pull it down. Then, after like ~1sec, they switch order. I usually click on the notification right away after pulldown and it makes me press the wrong thing all the time.

I have a different issue with the notification bar. I use a PIN unlock and after I unlock the phone I will sometimes see a previous notification flash up, like from a text or email. When I pull down the notification bar nothing is there. It only brief flash but an annoyance none the less to check and make sure something isn't really there.
