Ok so I'm currently running 2.3.4 but I updated my whole phone ,meaning I unrooted & CWM my phone and updated manually but my baseband is ff27,but my build is eg29. right after I reverted back to 2.3.4 with a backup I had and as soon as I did that damn ota update kept popping up it was quite annoying and I searched all over the place to try and figure this one out and I have came to the point I was wiping dalvik and everything deleted the zip file in cache folder using root explorer even and nothing worked. But this 1 thing I tried has seemed to work, when te OTA update request pops up hit "more info" and then pull your battery and reboot normally.Ever since I did that I haven't gotten it again its been about 4 hrs since I did this.I hope this tip helps someone else like it has me.

P.S-SORRY THIS ISH IS SO LONG LOL & this is for boost only idk about sprint so yeah lol

Hey whats up. I had a rooted stock 2.3.4 transform ultra. I updated to stock 2.3.6 and lost root. So I did some studying on different forums and came across a way to "downgrade" back to 2.3.4 using odin 4.43. The system .tar was from bads3ctor. Well it worked and i got back to 2.3.4 w/ root. i wanted to thank you for that.. I have one question. So Im still rooted running 2.3.4. Whats the easiest way to update to 2.3.6 without losing root? This would stop the annoying update window that haunts me daily. If you could help me out youd be a life and headache saver. Im sick of that update window. Please help. Millcityfury@gmail.com

to get rid of the update window just delete the updat.zip file in sys/cache and reboot it will be gone till it redownloads mine has not redownloaded yet an its been 5 days so far without the update nag screen

what do i need to have on my phone to be able to do that? root explorer? I currently do not have it but I can get it. So theres not an easy way to upgrade to 2.3.6 without losing my root? I got voodoo root keeper. would that work if im using bads3ctors system .tar? I read that it does work with the transform ultra but Im not sure it will work with the system .tar I have. I dont want to take the chance unless Im absolutely sure. Thanks
