Help Annoying pop-up ads appear at random!

Hi

I did some installing of new apps to my S4 just recently. I think it was gokeyboard and a launcher. However, the very next day popup ads started appearing from nowhere. I uninstalled the apps but the popups are still there. They seem to appear whenever the phone has laid silent for a while.

Any thoughts out there?

You have an app on the phone that is doing whats called an "air push" basically pushing ad notifications to your phone, you can either start uninstalling apps one by one till you find the culprit, or there are apps in the play store that will find them for you like air push detector

Long press the entry in the notification window will give you a popup menu to access it's app info. From there it should be fairly obvious as to which app is the culprit
