Annoying 'Update Google Play Services' after Samsung Internet update

After responding to a nagging notification to update Samsung Internet I'm now getting an even more annoying notification "Update Google Play Services - Samsung Internet won't run unless you update Google Play Services".

When I tap this notification it just disappears and I can't find any way to update Google Play Services. Samsung Internet is working fine without the update anyway.

Has anyone come across this situation and/or have any way to get rid of this notification?

I have the following disabled:- Chrome, Dropbox, Google Play [Games, Movies & TV, Music, Newsstand, Play Store] and Google Plus.

In Google Play Services, which is not capable of being disabled (it's greyed out), the only option is to uninstall updates.

Any help gratefully received.

As it's a week with no replies I'm bumping this in the hope someone will notice it.

Google Play Services updates in the background and I believe this is fed from the Play Store, so if this is disabled it will not update.
