Root Another Bloatware Apps Question

FiveTexans

Lurker
One of my main reasons to root my phone was to remove bloatware. I've done several (Using Titanium Backup) and am going back thru my phone again and want to remove some more. I have a Verizon Wireless Samsung Galaxy S.

My question lies in the following apps... if I can remove them:

Allshare
Write & Go
MobileIM
City ID
Voice Commands
Voice Recorder
Voice Search
Talk
Daily Briefing

These are apps I never have used and never will.

The other option is freezing them with TB. If I freeze them, will the app icon still appear on my screens?

Thanks,

Rich

I can't say as to the freezing apps question one way or another, as I haven't tried it. My assumption, however, is that the apps in question would disappear. If you're worried about the unwanted apps showing up on the screen, get a different launcher, such as adw.launcher. You have the option to set up a secondary app drawer, where you choose which apps are showing.

As for your list of bloatware, I'd say the only one I would suggest not deleting is Voice Search. Voice Search makes all of your voice activated apps work, and even if you don't have one of those apps now, you may some day, and it's easier to just leave it on as opposed to putting it back on later. Of course, that's your choice, as all those apps are safe to remove. Though, with the fascinate's app storage space, keeping Voice Search shouldn't really be much of a trouble.
