Help Another Kies thread

I am trying to go to Froyo. So far I have tried two windows machines and two macs with mini kies. The result is the same, the MTP screen comes up on my phone then flashes back to the homescreen then back to MTP.

Mac says usb connection is 'unstable'.

Windows says 'connecting the device'.

I have removed my external sd card (ss suggested elsewhere and have wifi, BT disabled.

I have even done a factory reset to remove all user data. No luck

Is there anything else I can do on my phone?

finally got Kies to connect. Steps:

* remove external sd card
* format internal sd card
* factory reset

now getting 'No Response from server' but it's progress

No response from server was solved by remove http proxy
