Root another noob rooter

Hi. I have a telus milestone 2.1.
My question is, after rooting I can upgrade my os to one that supports flash? also need to delete a file to continue adding contacts to my google account.
Not too interested in overclocking, just watching video, and removing abunch of bloat ware.
