Help Another option to lock the screen?

I'm trying to figure out if their is an option to turn off the phone screen"lock it" besides hitting the power button up top?Anyone know if their is an option to do this?Thanks!

I know that Granite1 mentioned something about a sweep to sleep gesture mod (which would require root and is already available on other phones). I am sure it is only a matter of time before it is available for the M8.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but you can double tap the screen to turn on the display

Does the double-tap work w/a 3rd party launcher?

FWIW, the G2/FLEX works w/such installed, but to double tap to turn off the display, you have to do so on the notification bar.

I downloaded an app called lock screen by lidroid and have it on my desktop, one tap on it locks the screen, great wee app.
