another ota update

i got another ota update today.ive been on cupcake for like 1 month.did any1 else get it ..? and have you noticed any differance ??
 
yea me too
said it was a security update
probably why the american update was delayed. found a hole in it sumwhere or something
cant notice any differences its probably just something in the coding.
 
i got a notification different 2 the cupcake 1 saying an update was available
and like, update, dont update and more info as options
clicked more info and it just said android 1.5 this is a security update or something.


firmware v is still 1.5

build number CRB43

what else from about phone do u wanna know, aint sure whats what
 
I got that too. Kinda weird. I was uk 1.5 for 3 days. I also did the uk update straight from my g1. I downloaded it, then opened up my OI file manager, transfered the update from my "download" area to the root of my SD, then I followed the rest of the rebooting steps and it worked! My computer was down so I thought I would give it a try. I read in some threads that their comp was down and they were just gonna wait for the update, but I'm your proof that you can do it straight from your phone. (I'm sure I'm not the only one that has done this, but I thought I would mention it)
 
ok so Im not the only crazy one...
I got the update and have been sittin her tryna work out what had changed lol
 
I just received the update today. From looking there is nothing different must just be a security issue that they found. :cool:

Hey again,

I just got the update.

Must just be a security problem with the Kernal as that has been updated.

And for some reason it has jumped all the way to CRB43.
 
I downloaded the UK version and this morning I had a update notice. So I updated and I have CRB 43 up from the UK CRB 17. that's the only thing different. took less than 2 minutes with 2 boots. still no google voice search and I downloaded the Amazon market yesterday.

So nothing different but build number. Did not lose the web and walk that's really cool.:D
 
Downloading the update as we speak... oh and if one needs to know it reads - Please install this update from google. It contains a security fix.

I'm in India using an unlocked T-Mobile G1 (bought in US, updated to UK 1.5)

ok, so if you downloaded the UK version and got an update notice this morning it was only for a security update and not the actual american cupcake?

that would then explain why i didnt see my myfavs or amazzon and such.
 
after this 2nd "secruitiy" update, the chargeing up seems to be alot quicker than it was after cupcake:)

edit. scrap that after 50% it takes ages
 
not for me

i dont know what they did but to say before updating to uk baked goods my battery levels were ten times better is not a good thing

hope the us cupcake is better with this
