That would be something....I know there was an update from B to C....I never got that update....Which version are you running now?:)

My phones says not enough space, my wife's has the update offered. Both are on B and rooted.

How do I prevent the update from showing up at all? Is there a process I could close/freeze?

Block notifications from Google play services
Thanks! I've never experimented with blocking specific notifications, can you please provide some how-to?

Also, for my wife's device, how can I delete the downloaded image and prevent the download from happening again? I am mostly concerned with her accepting the update and losing root on the device.

The update is in /cache I don't know how to block it from downloading, but I deleted the zip with root browser , it hasn't downloaded it yet, and that was a week ago

I deleted the update file. But the update notification won't go away. What will it do if my friend hits the update by mistake?

Well, it never downloaded the file again but the update notification stayed persistent. After a day or so my buddy with the L70 grew a set and told it to install. He said it finally gave him a cancel option and now no notification.

Phone was not updated since the file was deleted.

He is on B and still rooted.

FWIW, setting OTA to "disabled" using the LG hidden menu does NOT prevent the phone from saying that it failed to download the update due to no space.
(dial 3845#*323# --> WLAN Test --> OTA Setting --> Disable)
