Another way to detect airpush apps?

I downloaded a bunch of apps in the past few days, and same old story, one of them was an airpush app. White star, orange circle, win an ipad 2, all that. I have had Airpush detector for a while now, and it didn't detect anything. Are there any other ways to identify an airpush app? I went on the market to look for bad comments on my new apps too. I think maybe it was an old app that updated and added these ads.
