Jarvis works for calls too? I mentioned it above, but I thought it only worked for txts!

Have you even tried it out?

I downloaded it after I saw an article on rootzwiki. It worked fine for text messages. I've since wiped my phone and don't have it to test for phone calls, someone else in this thread made that claim not me. I'll install it and test...

Edit: Ok I tested it and it did exactly what you want. It disabled my ringtone and instead said "Incoming call from: *Number*, would you like to answer" I said yes, it answered. It also had speakerphone on, I am not 100% certain it enabled speakerphone itself though, you might have to have that enabled before you take your shower. Also, the TTS volume was a little quiet for my tastes, could barely hear who was calling, however I use a different TTS engine than the default.

I thought I had to configure it in the Jarvis Pro section, hence why I said it isnt free.

It is EXTREMELY limited. Im not sure which of the languages it understood me because I said Yes at first then tried different languages and NONE of those sounded like Yes. Maybe it was lagging....

Like you mentioned, the volume is extremely low.

Its a progress but Im betting more on the email I sent to the developer of AutoAnswer. Looks alot more promising than this.

Hello "riahc3"

There is a new app called "whistle call answer"

The purpose of using a whistle and not a word ... is that when you are a noisy

environment The app can be easily triggered by the noise. (if you don't want to

answer the call, or not ready to answer). so it has to use this specific

frequency (your whistle) to only trigger the app.

Anyone that tried some sort of these apps ( like vlingo) at the car for example realized that the

app is triggered by itself when the level of noise is rising ,at high speed for example. (If vlingo

could answer calls ... but it can't)

(look at the "whistle call answer" video)

Also, this is the first and only app that doesn't use the internet to answer a call by voice.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/...n.whistlecallfree&feature=more_from_developer

Hmm, maybe they should just get an app that you program to answer calls when you are doing something that your hands won't be free to handle the phone. It's really weird that you need to answer something while in the shower. For anything else, a bluetooth earphone would suffice. Better communication, and you won't have to shout to your phone.

I have no problems with weirdness. Didn't mean to give offense. I'm weird sometimes too. :) Sorry if it hurt anyone. I forget sometimes that some words may mean bad someone else. Thanks!

"korrupTed" . I didnt bought any Bluetooth headset because i cant charge the bluetooth headset all the time . Also its impossible for me to wear it all day . And its dangerous to take one hand off the wheel while your driving to answer the call.
If you read all posts carefully you will understand the "shower" is just an analogy.... although it is possible to operate "whistle call answer" in the shower also.

Anyway , "whistle call answer" is going to hit 1000 downloads in 15 days .

Yesterday i whistled to my phone and now i have a girlfriend . :handkiss:

You need the internet for the app you wrote and for all other apps except "whistle call answer".

Anyway , if you have the internet "all" time (which isn't logic)

The call would be answered by itself (even if you don't want to)

.... by environment noise ...

Read what i wrote here in the post ( The big post up )

Or read all the posts here ...

There's a few problems with this.
1. Phone is ringing, so you have to time your key word in between the rings, that's if your ring tone even have any breaks in between.
2. You're in the shower, all the water noise is going to interfere with the phone's ability to listen
3. You still have to put your phone up to your wet head
4. You'll request for a feature that activates speaker phone with a spoken word to get around problem #4, but no app exist for that today. (Imagine if that feature exists. The person you're talking to could potentially activate speakerphone for you, or worse, other feature that are implemented)
5. Unless you take 2h long bubble bath, 3 times a day, is this really a problem? And if you do take 2h bubble baths, you shouldn't have to stress over answering every call.

great analysis there, make sense. :)

I miss my Blue Ant headset where I could say answer or ignore while it was in my ear. I lost it and then got the Jawbone Era. But while my phone is docked and it rings in my car I would like it to auto answer in my ear. I think there used to be a setting on phones auto answer after so many rings. I liked speaking answer or ignore though on my blueant. I almost got the blueant one that clips onto your visor it was a bt speakerphone and it stays in your car but I wasn't sure how well it would work. I may try Vlingo again though cause my google voice never works good when I'm driving.
