Root Anthrax Site Down

Unfortunately, I have just found out that the Anthrax Kernel site at http://anthrax-kernels.us/ has been shut down. When navigating to this site, it shows that the domain expired on the 26th of June (yesterday) and is pending renewal or deletion. This is the first time I have ever seen this page. Hopefully, this isn't the end of Anthrax, but I fear the worst. Our phone's kernel seemed to be almost dead (though I heard that Chad was planning an update) anyways. Nonetheless, I am very grateful for Chad's contributions to our community in making an amazing kernel.

Sorry to hear this. No matter how you feel about Chad and the drama surrounding him, you've got to appreciate the work he put in to make a hell of a kernel.

I guess Chad's problem with the GPL crew got to be too much of a headache for him. There is still Buttered Toast, or Mirage.

Its entirely possible the site just needs to renew its domain lease.

Nothing mentions anything about it being shut down, or anything about the GPL.

Which is the first thing I thought. Although you would think they had to know when renewal was due..

All we can do is wait and see what happens.

Im glad we have a thread to distribute info as it becomes available, but let's keep speculation from getting too wild and at the same time respect Chads privacy

Well this is news to me, even though I haven't visited Chad's website in ages due to the way they ran things over there.

But I have to admit, if it wasn't for his work, this phone wouldn't be able to reach its fullest potential.

Yeah tried to log in a couple of days ago and saw the expired domain page. Sux but if this helps Chad focus on his health and finances then Its good in a way. Hopefully we get to see some anthrax in the future.
