Root Any apps or tweaks to stop phone from switching to 3G?

Long story short, Metro sucks, they don't have 3G coverage (just filter 1x through EVDO servers), and speeds suck when they do that.

Are there any apps out there that work on the Admire that will let you turn off 3G or maybe some build.prop tweaks?

Thanks...though CDMA = 1x and EVDO = 3G. Why tell me to turn 3G Only on when I want it off?

"EVDO only" on phone will cut the voice service off. There should be tweak to prevent data switch from 3G to 1x. I'm stil searching.

setting it this way will cause sms, and mms problems 1x is needed for these due to
phone operation design.

That's the opposite of what I would want.

If I have problems with 3G, why would I want to prevent the phone from switching to 1x?

Do a prl update

Dial *228 option 5 then 1 that should fix your data problems it fix my all the times so I won't use qpst

It wont. Metro has already confirmed it's to do with the routers/modems in my area. Basically their system is flooded with 3G requests from people setting their stuff to 3G only that it's slowed things down and 1x is actually faster most of the time.

PRL updates wont solve anything.
