Any bedside clock apps that hide the menu buttons?

I've been using Gentle Alarm for about 3-4 years now. There's a trial version available and you may want to check Amazon to see if it's cheaper. I happened to catch it on Amazon when the paid version was on the FREE app of the day.

There's a night time button (the quarter moon button in the app); when you turn it on, it switches to a discreet full screen clock with the alarm time in the corner. It's completely customizable up and down the app; including that night time screen.

Thanks. Looks like a nice app, but it doesn't hide the on screen Android menu bar (that has a white background). It behaves like all the other bedside clocks and only dims it. I don't know why this is so difficult. Video apps can get rid of that bar.

So what's the big deal with them for you? I see the app I use does turn them into small dimmed little dots; but I don't even really notice them.

If it was just the dots, that would be fine. But it's the white bar behind the dots (that stretches across the entire screen) that even while dimmed is pretty bright in a pitch black room.

I see your point and actually, when I went to bed last night with my new G2 I noticed the same thing because I had earlier selected a white gradient menu button background. When I turned the clock on and saw that, I switched it to black gradient so that it black behind the small dots. Try that....I can give you a screen shot if needed.

Ahhh, didn't realize you could change the color of the menu. Well that will work. Still would be great to hide it altogether but this is much better. Thanks!

I agree but this works and it is minimal. At the same time, remember that there are no front buttons. If you wanted to get out of the clock app quickly (say when the night clock is running), having the dots still allows you to get back to your home screen quickly. Otherwise, you have to enter the app and navigate back or hit the power button on the back of phone.

Now, if I could automatically change the on-screen button background to auto-switch at night or with the clock app, that would be even cooler.

Try Alarm Clock Plus. Will just show the three dots.

Almost all the alarm apps only show the three dots, my issue was with the white bar behind them. However that can be changed to black in the phone's diplay settings (not the app settings) so it's mostly a non-issue now. Alarm Clock Plus is great, though!
