Any chance of G1's "Gallery" on our Heroes?

My friend has the G1 and I love the way his photo album/Gallery is set up: Grouped folders with thumbnails, etc. Our Heroes have a listing of albums/folders. Any way to get G1's album (I'm assuming it's a v1.6 thing) on our Heroes?

this is a feature only on the vanilla android. Sense blocks those options. I don't think there is a way around it unless there is something on the market that can emulate it

My prediction is that after these phones get updates to 2.1 the xda community will pick up some steam and we will start seeing roms with bits and pieces of sense hacked in or out of it. So patience might be a virtue in this case.
