here is what i'm reading now:

edit: click on the book to see what it is all about.

can you giove a synopsis on one of his books? i always interested in expanding my horizons

Been a fan of his ever since I read Lamb, then went to get everything else by him; one of my favorite writers in any genre.

it is definitely humor for the most part. i never laughed so hard reading lust lizard from melancholoy cove. fluke is an intersting take on why whales sing.

and sacred bleu is really good so far. it gives you a different perspective on what painters were like back in the 1800's and what they had to go thru to get certain colors. not sure how historically accurate the book is, but it is by far a very interesting read.

if you want to read something not to heavy, but want to take a vacation from reality, his books are the best.

and i almost forgot about lamb. another interesting take on jesus. very good.

My favorite author. He's so hilarious! I just finished A Dirty Job. It was really good. It tied into the Blood sucking Fiends storyline. :) I'm reading Coyote Blue now. But I think my favorite by him so far is Fool. I laughed so much reading it!

Can't recommend him highly enough.
Complex, funny - many of the best characters you'll ever spend time with in a story.
My dilemma now that I have a S3 is - should I buy all the books again in digital form? I have them all in paperback but I'd like to have them around on my phone.

I started with "It's A Dirty Job and read all of his books twice. So far...
Dirty job is about a man who is drafted into being a grim reaper.

Christopher Moore wrote humor to help to deal with his loss of both his mother and mother-in-law. The man is achingly funny.

When I need a laugh, some more vocabulary or another take on whales, for instance, I call on the crazy man--Christopher Moore.

My wife and my teen age son have laughed out loud through all of his books, too. We have them all. I hope he writes more soon.

He is guilty of being far too irreverent according to the 'f**ktards' -one of my new vocab words- :)

So, his work is similar to something Douglas Adams or Keith Laumer would put together?

never read Keith Laumer, but moore is similar to douglas adams.....though his writing follows along the lines of typical british humor.

i think moore is unique in his humor.

his latest:

is unique in that he tries a little more serious approach. it is really good though.
