Was it worth it? I used an hd in the store and personally didn't feel it was worth the upgrade.

I currently have a maxx and have been thinking about moving up but want others opinions. Personally the pentile screen doesn't bother me one bit but i did notice the screen was much sharper on the hd. I did not like the 3 buttons instead of 4 but I'm sure i could get used to them.

It is definitely worth it! Had a RAZR slim and a S3 and its better than both. Its way better that the RAZR slim in every category from battery life, build quality, screen, just a all around better phone.

Now the S3 was a great phone and really it comes down to personal preference. Didn't like the fragile and poor build quality. Motorola radios are slightly better in my experiences but some say they are way better. Screen quality is the same but the S3 has a slightly bigger screen and it doesn't use the on screen buttons like the Razr HD. S3 has more motion type gestures like palm slide to take a screenshot or in the contacts you can swipe right to call or left to message.

The only thing that S3 has over the Razr HD is it uses the whole screen real estate for everything. Other than that the Razr HD is a better phone for me at least.

I upgraded from a slim RAZR. I feel its a worthy upgrade. I am still surprised that the HD screen is better in not just screen res but blacks, whiter, brighter. I agree with the above post comparing it to the RAZR.

Speaker, volume is louder, almost too loud with head phones....lol I rarely turn the volume all the way up when listening to music thru head phones now.

What I dont like....is the on screen keys. Eventually there should be on screen key mods to make them go away. That and the tray for the sim card and sd card....its kinda awkward to irritating to try to put cards in, replace cards. And....you might need to get some louder ringtones, definitely for alarms tho. For some reason these ICS phones come with weak sounding sounds.

I had the OG Razr also and love the MAXX HD. All around better and the battery life blows me away. I went from plugging in my phone every chance I could get to not even thinking about a charger - and this is with GPS, streaming football games via sunday ticket and big 10 network app. I am a heavy phone user and thisgets me by with still about 40% left at the end of the day. And the others already posted about the improvments in the phone.

Already have the maxx and would only be getting a maxx hd if i buy it. I destroy batteries so if the hd is an improvement in that area....bonus.
