Help Any Fix of Android Phone Overheating?

Is there any fix of overheating issue in Android Phone. I have a Lava Iris 405 which runs of Android Jelly Bean. I am facing overheating of CPU issue. Whether I am using mobile for internet tethering or using apps like twitter and whatsapp, my phone heats up very quickly. Mostly within 5 minutes.

How can I fix that. I have a rooted phone and have installed greenify to hibernate a lot of apps. Is there any good fix of this? Please help

It depends on how much development there has been for that device. If people have written kernels which allow undervolting, for example, that can reduce heat generation (but approach with care - too aggressive and it will make the phone unstable). But if you just have the stock software plus root access this won't be available.

You could try reducing the maximum clock speed using something like SetCPU. That would also reduce heat generation, though also reduce performance (which shouldn't be an issue for the apps you mention).

But it sounds like your specific problem here is when using mobile data rather than cpu usage per se, in which case those measures might work somewhat but I don't think you should expect miracles. Is the phone misbehaving (apps crashing, or the phone slowing down dramatically), or is it just getting warm?

^^^ all of the above
I would also point out that active tethering involves 100% duty cycle for radio transmit and receive. If you are also simultaneously charging the phone, it's going to get warm (no matter what you do).

Keep it in fridge.........LOL

Most of the heat produced by the phone is because your battery is not original one? OR It is expired. So, try to change the battery.

I doubt it's the battery tbh. Smartphones get hot and it's usually either the cpu or radio that causes it :thumbsupdroid:
