Any good battery saving apps?

I had the zte X500 and I used juice defender. the multiplier indicated x1.60 and above all the time and battery could go for like 2 days without charging. However, on this phone it says x1.34 and I definetely miss the extremely long battery life. I am using the same apps as before. Nothing different. Is there any other battery saving app that can work just as good on this phone? I installed battery guru beta.

I don't think there's Any battery app that is All That.

They can't change the laws of physics or lectricity. If you wanna do stuff with the phone it's gonna take juice. If you're going to use the phone doing stuff that's known juice users, no app will help you there.

None of the Apps I've heard of make it seamless in their "juice saving". There's lags while stuff turns back on, etc. You can do most of what the Aps do with your own settings. (Update times, Screen Brightness, etc;) I also don't put any stock in these Apps miraculous claims how how much a factor of X they've saved you. What are they supposed to do, have stats that say they suck?

That's how I see it anyway.

When I had my first MetroPCS phone (LG Optimus M) I had JuiceDefender Ultimate, and it would give me around x1.6-7 battery time, which was perfect. If you are not the person who needs to see every single (effing) notification available, you should totally use it.

Funny enough, now that I'm using my LG Spirit 4G, I don't see the need to use JuiceDefender anymore :S I just change brightness, enable/disable wi-fi and or GPS and that's it, I can make it from 8am to 10pm with 30% battery left to spare (that includes commuting listen to music or watching videos for 1 hr to get to and from work), calling, texting and using GPS (and having to deal with Neutron Music Player), and the ocasional picture.

So, if your battery life is crap, you must be doing something wrong or... using an iPhone :P

PS: I would totally suggest you to have an external battery, so u can charge it as you commute (unless u drive) or at work (or at class, got no idea how your schedule goes).

Hi, One thing I can tell you is Don't use a Live wallpaper! Hell, I put that neat looking Paid Koi pond on mine and the battery meter dropped like it was on fire!!!

The way I make my battery last longer is by turning everything off and only turn it on if I need it. That means Bluetooth, data, WiFi, GPS, etc. I don't care for constant updates throughout the day. I also don't care for having things automated. If I need to do something, I'll turn it on (i.e., If I need to check my e-mail or use the web browser, I'll turn on the data or WiFi).

Having the phone last at least two days for calls and text messaging is more important to me. Plus, worrying about having to constantly charge it throughout the day is such a hassle. I have so many friends who ask, "Hey, do you have a phone charger on you," and I just don't want to be in that situation. I know I'm not the typical smartphone user.

^^^ Mostly what he said.

First, I would also say don't even think about the badry for this phone for the first week you have it. I think it took that long for the power reading section to settle in and the battery usage to stabilize.

After that, just a little common sense. I too generally kill the auto pushes of data to Apps. I do let Weatherbug auto-update but it's set to every 15 min. No Facebook App pushing as the App sucks. I'll use the website and let it update when I need it to. I also do keep my GPS on as my understanding is it only uses juice when a App needs it turned on and the one App I use that most often needs the Geepus is Speedtest and I want it to be able to quickly set my location.

No vibrate and my screen is around 30%, plenty bright enough inside for me.
Also no silly ass live wallpapers.

I pay for my FooGee! and that's where I stay, on all the time.

I have no problems making it thru all day til I can get back home and plug back in. I never really have to rush to get to the home charger either. No badry complaints on this phone from me so far.
