I'm on Android 2.3. At first I thought there was a problem with Last.FM when it began to skip songs. So I uninstalled it. But the skipping continues with the standard Google Music app.
Basically I will be listening to music. And then it will skip to a random song. One second later it will skip to another random song. Then it keeps freaking out and constantly changing songs in my music library rapidly with no rhyme or reason. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it is extremely annoying and I have to turn my phone off and turn it back on again.
