any Hockey fans?

Cry much? While Ill admit that he sold it, what reason is there to bring this up? Was the an uncalled penalty? Did YOU get hit in the ankle? No. You didnt. Ive seen lesser hits than that do a hell of a lot more damage. Just putting that out there, unless youre on the ice, youve got ZERO room to speak on it. I mean, its not like were talking about Cindy Crysby here.

I noticed yall been real vocal the last couple games, yet after games one two and three yall were quieter than a church mouse. Bandwagon fans are fails.

Last nights game was good for the most part, really was dissatisfied with the way Pattys played in this series and he seriously needs to step it up. GET ON JUMBOS LEVEL! Once again what killed us was ourselves. We had that game locked up, and then we pulled a redwings and let the game slip out of our hands. We need to be better game six and put the wings away at the Joe.

Sharks are KNOWN around the "forums" as divers.

Same as you during first 3 games. My posting is just about the same win or loose. Go ahead and look at my posts and yours after games. I still came back after losses.

Who are you referring as a bandwagon fan? Certainly not me.

You obliviously are not getting it and not even going there.

EVERY game has been a 1 pt game. Game 7 is coming your way. Win or loose you guys couldn't close it.

He wasn't hit in the ankle, he was hit mid shin guard. And as blue commented, the Sharks are WIDELY known to be a bunch of divers. Put Sid the Kid on your team and you'd have the greatest group of divers since the 08 World Cup.

:)

While I do need to add in "Some" in my previous post, the ONLY place the Sharks are known as divers are in the eyes of bitter redwings fans. LOL. Stay offa 4chan, they also endorse furries.

Redwings fans are known the cry about the reffing rather than say something about the way their team plays. Blame the refs if you lose and call your team world class when they win...LOL. Sad state of affairs really. If you look back at my posts about this series, have I even so much as brought up the reffing calls besides this post and the one pointing this trend out the first time? Nope. Why? Because at the end of the game its the PLAYERS, NOT the refs that decide the outcome of these games. Last nights game? My Sharks didnt compete hard enough. Simple as that. The game before? They started to compete too late. They lost both of those games. The first three they won because they won the battles. They won face offs. Last two games? The havent.

Do these things have ANYTHING to do with the refs? Not one bit. Think about that before you start crying about ANY penalty calls because theyve gone both ways bad and good. REAL fans know when to admit this.

Never cry about penalties. They go both ways. This series is tight and 1 goal games. PERIOD. Not necessarily the better team will win when EVERY GAME is decided by a goal.

These 2 teams are EQUAL right now.

I'm cheering for the Wings in game 6 and if there's a game 7, I'm cheering for the Sharks. I want the Canucks to be better rested than their Western final opponents. I also want the games to start after I get home from work on the weekdays.

I'm hoping the Sharks manage to win out the series as I believe they will be the easier team for Vancouver to beat. The best outcome possible right now is a Vancouver vs Tampa Bay final, and while I don't have a huge preference which of them takes it, I'd like it to be Vancouver to break the President's Trophy curse.

The worst outcome, of course, would be Boston vs Detroit. Ugh.

I haven't "cried" about the refs once in this series, in fact for us it still comes down to the goaltending and Jimmy Howard's inconsistencies.

Ive been following this post for a few days now, and I just had to post something as well. To start things off, I want to say that one of these teams (SJS & DET) is my all-time favorite organization and has been for YEARS (the other I despise). Which of these of course, i will not say, i am a HOCKEY fan first and foremost. There is no point in talking trash, it only makes it that much harder if your team loses and not much better if they win. Lets see if you can guess what team im rooting for.

First of all, out of the entire NHL, these two teams probably most resemble each other. (same styles of play, same type of coaching, and even close to IDENTICAL regular season records). This is the reason for the following:

-Most consecutive playoff appearances (DET more so of course)
-One Goal Games
-Multiple visits in round two (even against each other)
-Fans hating the opposing teams fans.
-THE LOUDEST 2 HOME VENUES IN THE LEAGUE.

Now for the comparison as it applies to the 2011 Semis:

WINGS - This team is phenomenal and playing an entire 60 minutes. When you look at the game as a whole, the wings are probably one of the most consistant teams during all three periods. Forecheck, skating, shots, hits, faceoffs, PP & PK, the works. They do what they do for the entire game. When it comes to the roster, Detroit has many key players, but not a ton of second or third-had scoring power. They use their stars players effectively, but do not rely on they up-and-comers quite enough. They need to start giving other teammates chances to score as well as let Franzen, Datsyuk, and Zberg chill a little bit (especially now that were at a game 6 and not one of these formentioned players are at 100%). Their defense is also pretty stacked with Lindstrom and Kronwall, but is it enough to stop all tree lines for SJS?? Howard has played the series of his career this year against the sharks. Going into this series I was a little concerned if he was ready to stand up to the sharks offense, but he has proven that he is up to the task. Game 5 was all Howard, and i doubt anyone would beg to differ (except some die-hard datsyuk fans). oh and how could I forget, game 6 is at the JOE.

SHARKS - Even though these teams are incredibly similar, the sharks are maybe a little less consistant (regular season aside). If game 5 didnt make this evident enough, the sharks can make the wings look like they belong in the AHL certain periods, then in others they look like theyre tired and have given up. Theres no denying though, that when the sharks are on it, THEY ARE DEFINITELY ON IT!!! The sharks have the ability to dump the puck into the offensive zone and then get it to the net with ease against detroit. In addition, they are also much better puck-handlers, as detroit feeds off of open ice to make scoring chances. The sharks biggest strength is that they have 3 (arguably 4) lines up front that can get it done. PAVELSKI on the third line? for real?? SJS has got some depth thats for sure. As for defense, Ian White has been a huge trade-deadline acquisition for the sharks and has proven it this postseason. Combine him with Danny Boyle and thats a solid D line (emphasis on "A", thats right, only ONE). As for Niemi, lets just say thank god hes not playing like he did against LA.

Summary:

OFFENSE - SJS > DET
DEFENSE - SJS < DET
GOALTENDING - SJS = DET
HOME ICE - SJS = DET
FACEOFFS - SJS > DET
PP/PK - SJS < DET

Does it get any closer than that? I think not. Game 6/7? is going to be insane!

OH AND I ALMOST FORGOT, MODANO IS IN/MULE OUT, CLOWE IS OUT. INTERESTING...

Good analysis. I think your a Red Wing fan. Not many outsiders refer to the arena as the JOE. Am I right?

Eh, I call it the Joe. I think hes a Sharks fan. He didnt once cry, complain or bring up the reffing of the game.

Just curious who in the thread you are referring to? They only "crying" I have done was the snow showers, which you agreed to some extent with me. I think I have been very clear that it will be a good series and all games have been 1 goal. It is anybody's series. Only smash talking I have done is the "diving" comment and how you guys failed to close out the series, and that is not really a slam.

Have not complained except the poor play by the wings in games 1-3 and never once said anything about refs. I think I have been quite good actually :p

SHHHHHHHHHHHH For the most part youre the exception to the rule. Go back to your fireplace! When it came to the snow showers, I was the one that brought that up. :-P I didnt like them either and Im glad they stopped.

Not telling my side until the series is complete! (would referring to THE TANK make me an SJS fan?)

About the complaining anyways, the biggest baby of them all is Jeremy Roenick for calling out Marleau. Tonights game should be the best, most physical, and hardest to watch for fans of either side. In my opinion, this IS a game 7. I believe that if the wings pull off a win tonight, they WILL win game 7. I think that the sharks are thinking too much about a comeback and the media and not enough about how they need to play without ryan clowe. Also, i think tonight will be an out-of-the-norm game. I think it will be high scoring, and not a one goal difference.

PREDICTIONS:

If the Sharks win tonight, they will beat the Canucks and head to the Final.

If the Wings win tonight, they will win game 7 as well and advance, but loose to Vancouver.

Detroit star player of the night - Cleary up front and Kronwall out back
San Jose star player of the night - Murray on D and Marleau up front (to avenge JR).
Ultimately, its up to Niemi and Howard.

Now I think hes a Boston fan for some odd ass reason...lol.

However, I couldnt argue about that post. Its on point.

Now I think hes a Boston fan for some odd ass reason...lol.

NOOOOO, definitely not a Bruins fan. Tampa is actually my second favorite team so Im hoping the bears go down without a fight.

Getting back to game 6 though, i truly see a possibility of Detroit taking games 6 and 7. The ONE thing that the Sharks need to do in order to wrap this series up though, is to play as if they were the ones coming from behind. Go back to January, they lost 6 straight only to come from 13 in the conference to finishing 2nd. They seem to bounce back after a bad stretch only to be better than ever. If san jose ignores the previous games in the series, and treats tonight as if it were a game with NO pressure, theyll pull it off.

One more spot to fill for the conference final:

Did I read correctly that Clowe is out for the Sharks tonight? I didn't see a reason however. I also believe Modano will be available for the Wings tonight.
