Help Any idea why my Epic wont play any divx?

I tried a bunch of divx and xvid files, I also tried converting them into mp4 and other formats and every time it says unsupported format.

I also downloaded vplayer and rockplayer and all they do is freeze for a while then go back to the main screen.

I am running stock ec05 (installed by going from eclair to ec05 via update.zip) unrooted, RTS. Any ideas?

Have you tried doing a factory reset since you updated? That has been reported to fix many issues for many users. I have a full episode of walking dead on my phone I believe is in divx format that plays just fine. I think it's divx. Now I have to check. Also make sure it is not copy protected.

I agree with Stringyquark, I've heard it is an issue and a hard reset will fix it.
