Any idea why the note 2 didnt come with a security app pre installed?

I noticed my note 2 didnt come with a security app and all my phones in the past that were android did? Anybody know the reason why? is it really needed?

When you register for the Samsung account it gives you access to Samsung Dive which then lets you access the search/lock home screen/call log etc. features.

That may not tally with your idea of a security app!

...sometimes...I prefer seekdroid as it is more reliable.

This how samsung shows me how to get samsung dive to work on my phone but i dont see these settings=To use the SamsungDive service, the "Remote Controls" of the mobile must be enabled.

• Select "Settings > Personal > Security" from the main menu.
• Select "Find my mobile > Remote Controls".

If you register for Samsung and Google accounts, the "Remote Controls" are automatically enabled.

• Register your Samsung account.
• Register your Google account.

To use some SamsungDive service functions, you have to agree to allow Google to collect your user location information.

• Please agree to the "Use wireless networks" terms and conditions.

ahh spoke to samsung and they told me samsung dive is not available for united states models.
