Hi folks,

1st time back with android in 2 years and 1st ever xperia device. Z1
Im getting back into the swing of things pretty quickly but wanted to check if there was anyone else having the same issues:-

Phone get ridiculously hot when using camera
Sometimes camera will crash
Certain apps like sky news don't work correctly, states its crashed
App like Facebook refresh sometimes then other times don't - no signal issues
Location based WiFi does not work - never finds the saved signal and log on
Phone takes an eternity to switch on once rebooted
stock weather widget does refresh automatically but not if on GPS location

I believe there is a firmware update to be available soon but i have a funny feeling this is faulty?

Welcome to AF Matty!

1. I can't say I've had any issues with the camera making my handset overly hot. Are you recording videos or taking pictures?
2. The only times when my camera has "crashed" has been when I've been playing games/doing something mega intensive, then load the camera up. I'll get a message saying Temperature too hot for camera use (or something to that effect).
3. I've had a few FC's, but not really more than I'd expect. Never used SkyNews, but the SkySports app works fine.
4. Have you enabled Stamina Mode? If yes, what apps have you allowed to use the connection.
5. Works for me, but I have to leave the WiFi connection completely alone. If I notice it's on when it shouldn't be and I turn it off, it won't switch on automatically.
6. Mine is pretty instant
7. I don't use the weather widget, so can't comment, sorry.

There is a firmware update en route by all accounts, but I've not read of any one having the number of issues y
you are so you might well have a faulty handset.

Cheers for replying so quickly

1. Mainly when taking pictures with the AR effect on it gets very hot - very!
2. I get a messages simply saying camera error or not available
3. Sky sports works fine for although the football widget sometimes struggles to refresh
4. Not been using stamina mode as of yet
5. Ah maybe that's me being daft as i thought it would turn itself on automatically when it was in range - thought that was the whole point of it lol
6. Read in a few places that taking the optimized back light option off means that the screen will take longer to appear when you restart - weird
7 Ok

Well i think its safe to say its faulty !

Re point 5, yeah it is supposed to be off when not in range so no idea why mine turns itself on every now and then.

AR mode isn't something I've played with a great deal, I'll give it a go and report back.
