Any known issues with the S5?

[Edit to add carrier and expected usage info.]

I'm ready to replace my Galaxy S3 and am considering the Galaxy S5 and the LG G3. I'll be purchasing the phone with a two-year contract on AT&T, so it'll be the AT&T variant. Also, I plan on using the phone in stock form: no root or replacing the ROM.

I've heard the S5 has better (if only slightly) battery life than the G3 (due to the G3's 2K resolution), as well as the better camera.

But before I commit, I'm curious if the S5 has any known issues/bugs that I should know. The main reason I'm considering the G3 is because of the 4G battery drain bug on the S3, and I'd like to know if there are any similar issues with the S5.

Does anyone know of any known issues that a widespread number of S5 owners on AT&T are experiencing?

Thanks,
Brian

This phone is on sale at BestBuy for Black Friday week at a price of $1 + $36 upgrade fee. Seriously thinking about trading my S4 for the S5. Anyone have any opinions on the S5? Better to wait till spring 2015 for the S6?

I know what you mean about there always being a new phone. I kind of think the S5 is just an optimized version of the current design, and getting it for $37 + year contract makes a lot of sense, rather than holding out for an S6 and paying $300 or more for a brand new design where they might not have sorted out all the problems yet.

S5 here since release day, 4/11/2014
Best phone choice I could have made so far..... no regrets.

Previous phone was a Galaxy S Fascinate, Verizon of course.
I almost noticed the improvement between the 'S' model and the newest 'S5' model

I have a Samsung 64 gB SD card in mine and no issues with that either.

I may have found an issue. I was playing with the phone, and I tried the heart monitor thing. I found an ap on the phone called S health. It showed me my heart rate after I told it my height and weight. Then it started counting my steps. The running count kept showing up on the lock screen, that's the only way I knew it was still counting. Like a pedometer. I couldn't turn it off. I eventually had to go to the ap manager and turn it off there. and uninstall the updates, etc. I thought that was kind of rude, kind of intrusive.

That is the way it is suppose to work.

I have the S5 on Verizon, but hopefully the experience is still relevant. I had been using an HTC DNA which was a nice phone, but the S5 is better; faster, better battery life & camera, more memory, etc. I don't have a single negative thing to say about it - by far the best smartphone I've owned to date and perhaps the first that I will keep using after the contract expires.

My personal issue was that the sd cards I originally bought wasn't fast enough and kept corrupting the data.
I had to buy a samsung pro 64gb to make it work.
and the default mail app leaves much to be desired.
Other than those issues I'm happy with my s5.
You do know about the note 4 and nexus 6 devices don't you?
They are both bigger with more horsepower.
If you are set on an s5 then it maybe worth waiting till the January sales.

typical hang time.. occasionally. (especially if you open many apps at the same time)

for a regular internet/mobile use.. battery lasts at most 24 hours OR less. . .

standby ... maybe 2-3 days
