Any new Boost phone models?

Sept1967

Android Enthusiast
Anyone know if there are any plans to allow older "flagship" phones to be offered by Boost mobile?
Not just the super expensive top of the line - like S6

They had the LG G2 (from last Nov still 279.00).

Any plans for a Samsung G4, HTC One M7 (or M8). Moto X (or 2nd Gen), Nexus 5?

The current prices go from a hundred and a half, to six and a half.
BIG gap in between. Even the S5 is still five hundred. No phone is worth that...to me
Seriously not interested in iPhones either

Not sure about new phones, but Boost Mobile has a list of some Sprint phones that you can BYOD:
http://www.boostmobile.com/support/faq/#!/activate-sprint-phone

The Galaxy S4 and S3 are on the list if you want to buy a used one and use it on Boost.

That list is a start, but full of dinosaurs
The only recent phones with CPU horsepower are
•Samsung Galaxy Note 3
•Samsung Galaxy S4
•LG G2

Best Buy has the Sprint LG G2 for $199 new in box
Walmart has the Tmobile G S4 for $299 (no Sprint version) new in box
Note 3 's are still crazy expensive

I guess it is just Sprint being real tight with that list they give to Boost

Sprint still sees us as red headed stepchildren or worst the competition. When we should both be working together. Like t-metro

Doesn't Sprint own both Boost and Virgin? Now they also own Radio Shack.
Interesting to see how much space in their re-opened RS's they make their phone sections.

Yes they do own us, but we are treated quite 2nd tier imo
But with the launch of the s6 it's looking up

We are getting the LG stylo.. The 11th of may 200 bucks..looks noice

I saw that Stylo for T-Mobile (and MetroPCS). Didn't know they were releasing a cdma version. Big screen looks nice, cpu is sorta weak, standard Quad core 1.2GHz

I would have bought the G6 if they didnt ruin it having no expansion storage and no removable battery compartment and popped in a 128gb card but I guessing I will stay with my G3 with 64gb card for a long time unless they come out with some G6 like phone with those added features and lollipop.

I will probably get a new Samsung tablet when the news ones come out if no other phone to upgrade to.

This could be phone to upgrade my G3 with like to know if it has an sd slot though as does not say on Boost and saw just saw on a youtube video that is has one
Heres the phone info from Boost
http://www.boostmobile.com/shop/phones/boost-max-plus/#/page_features
Recent Video which looks to show sd slot

The comments made by the youtube poster of the specs seem to be off but mainly hoping the phone has the micro sd slot that be sweet and could help clinch the deal with the rest of the specs listed at Boost

Got specs can use up to 64gb SD Card but screen res too low at 720x1280 for me to consider swapping with my G3

If it's anything like the rest of the ZTE phones, they have good specs but full of bugs and break fast. I'd never buy one.
Good luck.

A Boost store in my area avoids ZTE phones because he's had too many returns with them.

My recommendation is wait 5 months for cyber Monday. Based on previous years, Boost website will likely have some good deals on the Galaxy S phones.

I want to see Boost sell some Android phablets with a micro SD slot that would be my best option but there probulay never do that due to the market manipulations that are going on!

I've actually been running nothing but ZTE for the last cpl yrs and the only issues I've had were self inflicted, Lmfao. These actually have decent hardware for the price.
As for the OP's question: if Lollipop isn't a big deal, I'd go with the Warp Sync (KK) as it has intense color, more sensors, micro SD, almost half the price, and Root/ Recovery/ Roms.. [emoji6] I know I'm getting another one ASAP! I bricked my previous one due to personal negligence..[emoji12]

Aren't micro SD slots becoming less common in the industry overall?

If they get the point where the phones start with 64gb already installed I would be fine with that but when they force me to buy the larger gb phones for crazy money like they do now then that just getting rid of micro sd slots to save them money and force people to buy more expensive cell phones .

I'll go back to a viewfinder and walkie talkie before I intentionally buy a phone with no microSD slot... I mean, what if your phone holds almost your whole life's images & music then takes crap? You can't boot the device or pull a card out to transfer & read. Ur screwed out of both $$ and memories... Food for thought

I just backup everything to Dropbox and make nandroid backups often pretty much after a few programs have been updated usually twice a week and copy backups to my PC not much chance to lose any data doing it that way.
Use TB to backup programs and data often same frequency also have the PC copies.

I'm hesitant to buy a phone without removable battery. I don't like the idea of being forced to get new phone if battery wears out from normal use or has major malfunction.

Warp Sync has a removable battery for sure!
