Just wondering when was the latest update? And where can i get it from?

Very new to this phone, have an sony xperia 10, not to great on phones.

Any help would be great

what is pc companion? is it just so you can connect phone to pc?

Yes, it lets you run updates from the Support Section and offers you access to a couple of sync options, Media Go for transferring pictures/music/video to and from the phone.
