Hey guys, I just got my XPRT on Sprint a couple months ago... I know it's nowhere near the top tier of phones these days, but it's one of the few phones that Sprint still sells that you can get away without paying the extra $10/month for the "Smartphone" data fee (in fact, it's the only Android phone still left that you can get without paying that extra charge).
Anyway, I'm already getting the feeling I had when I owned a Pre; the provider and the manufacturer are saying, "Yeah, the next update is coming any time now," but with no real date announced.
Realistically, can I ever expect to run Gingerbread on this phone? Or should I consign myself to only using 2.2 throughout the next year, or however long I decide to keep using it?
Thanks!
PS: This is my first Android phone so I don't have anything to compare it to, but is the RAM and CPU in this phone not equipped to handle a lot of the newer games and intensive apps today? I've had several games crash the phone to reboot (sometimes even right after launching), even though the Google Play store says they're compatible. That crash-reboot usually means the app made the phone run out of memory, right?
