Any non-removable bloatware on AT&T version?

I attempted a forum search before starting this thread, but didn't find anything conclusive.

I've ordered an S3 from AT&T and would like to know if there are any applications pre-installed on the phone that I can't remove. Reason I ask: my Droid X came with its own version of Swype that I can't uninstall or update, and which prevents me from installing newer versions of Swype.

Thanks,
Brian

[Mods, please feel free to change the thread prefix; I wasn't sure which one to use.]

I count 23 apps that aren't removable. How many of them you would consider bloatware is in the eye of the beholder :-)

The most annoying part of this is that you will get constant update notices for many of these, even if you 'hide' them.

Anyone here who has figured a workaround for this, please chime in!

No need to root or anything of the sort. AT&T bloatware can easily be disabled. Easy as pie.

Settings - > App Manager - > Select an app like At&T Navigator - > Click Disable - > Done

Your bloatware will no longer show up anywhere, ping you for updates or bother you ever again until you re-enable it (like for an att OS update.)

If you choose to root, both ROM Toolbox Pro and Titanium Backup can "Freeze" apps. Either way, I don't recommend deleting any of the bloatware. I believe it needs to be in the file system in order to receive att ota updates (like for Jelly Bean, assuming we ever see att get off their slow asses.)

You can disable all the pre-installed apps, this both hides them from the app drawer and prevents them from running. You will not get any update notices if you disable these apps.
