Its only a small update, that has Google security improvements, and hotspot improvements. uploadfromtaptalk1410975845888.jpg

After applying the update (not root) I began receiving the following error :

vdm client has stopped unexpectedly

Since then I reset, rooted with twrp (2.8) and got s-off. None of this would've happened if it hadn't been for the system update gone awry. For what reason, who knows?

Being rooted does not prevent the OTA from updating the K2 variant. If it failed to update it was due to another cause based on user misinformation and/or user error.

Don't you have to relocate the bootloader and flash to stock recovery to apply OTA? I seem to recall ready get something to that effect. I got the update and saved it to my HD but ccouldn't update. I haven't gotten adb and fastboot back since reformatting the home pc, aI'm reading a lot and doing little (boooooring)... was going to look into it later. I'm trying to figure out Linux so I can build cwm , but im Thought it was the recovery though. I was going to try sideloading it too, as that might slip past the stock recovery issue

If S-Off the bootloader does not need to be relocked but you must use a stock recovery to apply the OTA. If S-On then you must relock the bootloader after you install the stock recovery.

Also, if you want to learn how to build CWM you can grab my repo which I use to build TWRP. There is a CWM branch in the repo which will need to be updated to reflect 4.2.2. Will also need to sync CM to your linux distro. It's not too difficult but some knowledge using linux is definitely required.

Thanks I will check it out after I figure out a few other things... Like how to mount a drive and install a program! It's very foreign and stretches my computer knowledge, but I think I'll get it... Slowly. Install was bad enough and I still can't even do anything. Rolling release?! I'm still trying to decide I'd I'm getting good freedom to choose with Linux or if the dev are getting freedom to push the rest of their work at me and go outside to play :) slowly but surely slowly but surely....
