Any possibility of HTC One X coming to Verizon?

It wouldn't surprise me if there was a Verizon variant that came out, but it'll be down the road a bit since rumors haven't even popped up yet. Maybe sometime towards the fall/winter of this year?

One S variant, the hTC Droid Incredible 4G, is rumored to hit April 26th with 1.2 GHz dual core Qualcomm snapdragon S4 krait based SoC processor.
The S4 processor will be very responsive & efficient. Its benchmarks beat out Tegra 3...

Any word on the screen size of the dinc 4g? I like my big beautiful screens... And 1.2ghz clock seems low in todays world of super phones. My x2 is 1ghz dual core... Doesn't seem like a huge upgrade compared to what else is out there.

If the rampant rumors are true, the Incredible 4G will have a 4.3" AMOLED qhd screen. :)

Regarding the 1.2ghz clock, it is my understanding that the (again, rumored) Snapdragon processor is a much different animal than things we have seen up until now, and it apparently will be lightning quick, very much noticeably faster in practical usage.

Some of the afore-mentioned rumors indicate that the Incredible 4G is the Verizon version of the HTC One S, as the leaked specs appear to be identical; if so, then benchmarks out for the One S might be informative regarding the processor:

... as you can see, the Snapdragon is getting rave reviews :)

Hope this helps!

That sounds interesting. Still, I'd hope we'd see the quad core version of the ONE x by the end of 2012. THAT would be sweet!

I would guess after the Incredible 4G (HTC One S), we'll have to wait until the fall for an updated version of the One X. I've read that Qualcomm is working on an the S4 Pro chipset, which will offer Adreno 320 graphics.

Pure speculation on my part, but maybe we'll be treated to a 1080p screen... Either way, I doubt we'll see a "real" HTC One X variant. I hope I'm wrong, but then again I wouldn't mind waiting for the S4 Pro.

I really don't see the point of a 1080p screen on a phone. You won't be able to see a difference, it'll just suck up more battery. Just a total waste.

Agreed. Could be nice on a tablet, but the on a phone the only thing that might be useful with 1080p IMO would be HDMI output.

I wouldn't give up on HTC until you've owned a Rezound. And the One series sounds very good from all the reviews so the Dinc 4G LTE should be a great machine.

BTW: I had a Thunderbolt and I swore that would be the last time I touched an HTC phone, but the Rezound won me over big time.

after owing the incredible, i will never buy another HTC phone

Really? I'm still using my Dinc and trust HTC over everyone else. I've never had any problems with mine that either 1- I didn't cause or 2- weren't easily fixable. I got tired to the bloatware (VZW doing) and sense (a little) but that was easily fixed by rooting, which is easy.

Agreed. Sense has become a memory/battery hog and offers nothing useful like MotoCast that actually improves your phone. Its just a bunch of eye candy with spinning app screens and junk that slows your phone down. The stupid Friend Stream app was making my last HTC phone crash every time it tried to update, Then the stupid weather animations while it was raining kept making my phone reboot. It would freeze, go to a white screen where I could hear the rain from the weather animation but the phone just kept rebooting. Had to pull the battery and return it. ICS running on the One X doesn't even look like ICS, just looks like another random HTC phone running Sense. I love the way ICS looks on the Razr, Motorola kept it pretty much intact and their use of MotoBlur is very minimal, as it should be. Glad I picked up a Maxx.

Sense 4.0 was supposed to intergrate really well with ICS. And lots of people said they liked how light it really was. I haven't gotten a chance to play with it personally though...:(

How i'd love to see some pics of ICS on the RAZR! Haven't seen any Moto device with ICS yet!

ATT has exclusivity on the One x.. so likely it will either be 3-4 months till verizon gets the onex or they get a variant.

:vroam:

Interesting. It doesn't look like a whole lot in that video is Motorola branded. Did they get rid of a large portion of their UI in ICS?

I am running it on my Maxx. It's really similar to how it was on GB. That favorite people widget in the pic doesn't drop down anymore, it just shuffles to the next set of tiles. They kept Blur pretty minimal which I love.
