Root any root methods to unresponsive keyboard bug?

i just rooted my phone in hopes of being able to fix the issue of a very unresponsive keyboard. at times I will click key on the keyboard and it won't show until I repeat the same key mutliple times.

any one have luck in fixing this?

Try using a different keyboard and make sure it's on ur internal memory not ur SD card it helps and try and keep at least 30Mb free on ur internal memory to reduced lag

i've tried that, and I notice that I get a temporary (maybe 10 minute) fix, where I won't experience any lag when I switch keyboards.

i've also started emptying my cache every time i get a lag spike, and it works occasionally, but not consistently.

someone else posted that if you get a screen protector, the lag goes away. this seems like it might work, but has anyone else had this problem/ know any fixes?

I have no lag, I use the ICS keyboard, I have the keyboard sounds, and vibrations turned off and its very fast and responsive. No lag at all.
