Any trick or treaters at your house?

Ghosts, goblins, ninjas, skeletons and Obamas have come by for treats already.. it just got dark for crying out loud! .. lol.. it's gonna be a busy night.

It was a little girl with a huge Obama mask and suit.. well, a jacket and bow tie. :D Cute.

I just set a big bowl of candy outside. My dogs go nuts when the doorbell rings or someone knocks on the door, so I am hoping the kids just take some candy and leave without me knowing they were there.

My daughter went out trick or treating with her cousins tonight.

Just as i was taking our 2 kids out the front light on the house blew out. When we got back I asked how busy it was, not one knock on the door ...extra goodies for me ;-)

Only 38 kids this year for us (the wife keeps count ). Normally we get 90+. Not sure why so few this year. Oh well, lots o extra candy for me!

Lot of parents dont take their kids out on a school night. But I noticed where we took my son every year there wasnt really that many kids out and not that many houses handing out candy. Compared to last year when the streets was full and rows and rows of houses was giving out candy.

Your wife counts them, eyebeam? Good, I thought I was the only one. ;)

121 last night.. I was wondering if it'd be a bit high; lots of toddlers and babies from last year in the neighborhood who had grown a bit to walking or being walked.

They were great, quite a mix of costumes and little skits on our front lawn and porch. One group of girls did a "dancing with the stars" skit with two dancers and two "judges" fawning over them and telling them they deserved lots of candy.. lol.

We did have one little guy in battle fatigues carrying a toy AK-47. Yuck. :D

We had quite a few, but I couldn't keep track as we took our little ones out and just left a cauldron of candy out front. We were all happy until we returned home and found out that someone took the cauldron. I really liked that cauldron too.:(

You're a trusting soul, OTD. I have to admit, there is not much in the way of ill behavior where I live, but I still act as if I live in the big city where I grew up or the one I spent most of my non-military adult life. :o

Of course, I had no kids to take out last night.

Yes. For some reason the Eyebette and other members of her family keep count, and then call each-other to compare. In 20+ years, I've never figured out the point. Now if the "winner" got all the others left-over candy... :D

We have some left over, but my wife's taking it to her Wednesday staff meeting at her job.

< still time to hide stuff > < wait, she took inventory of the left overs >

< I've got to think >

:D

Well, you wouldn't expect anyone to be dumb enough to thieve from a family of Vampires, but.......

I hate when kids that are in highschool trick or treat. There was a MOTHER wearing a hoodie trick or treating!!! What happened to the spirit of Halloween. Don't highschool kids have Halloween parties to attend to!

My niece LOVED Halloween. Last year, when she was 2, I threw her Pumpkin costume on and carried her door to door around the neighbourhood for candies. This year, she understood what Halloween was and was hyper from the idea of getting free candies, chips and chocolate (all of which are hidden from her). The next day, she went up to her mom and said, 'lets go trick-or-treat again Mommy!'
