Help Any way to change the black battery charging icon

I am having trouble seeing the black battery charging icon on the notification bar on Kit Kat. Is there any way to change it back to white?

Get the Xposed framework. It works well for me.

Yup, I believe so. From somewhere I got the rooted copy of KitKat rom and installed. Wow.....It's never be the same again.

I think I would be scared to root. I love my bits of technology and am an avid promoter of Android in an Apple dedicated family, but rooting frightens me. You are talking to a
senior lady here!

When I updated to Kit Kat the icon itself turned white but the flash bit that shows when it's charging is black. I find it very difficult to see when is charging now.

Yes! But it's much smaller of course!

Since your not Rooted, it would be easier if you used a widget.
Besides monitoring your battery it changes color when charging.
