Help Any way to force upgrade to ICS?

I have the original Xoom bought the very first day they were made available at my local Verizon store, and I still haven't gotten the ICS upgrade, still on HC :-(

I've one the "check for updates" and it always says I'm up to date??

Any way I can force the upgrade to ICS??

You cannot force the ICS update because the update has not been officially released as an OTA (or at all, for that matter). You can root your device and install the leaked ROM of what appears to be the close-to-final version of ICS that is destined for the XOOM. If you don't want to root, then I suggest you stop sitting on your tablet hitting "Check for updates" and just patiently wait for: 1) Hearing official news that an update is being pushed, or 2) Your device tells you an update is available to be installed. At this time there are no concrete news, so it can come out tomorrow, it can come out next month. Patience. :)

That's fine, it was just my understanding that it had already come out, and mine didn't update for some reason. I'm fine with waiting, knowing that it just hasn't actually been pushed yet.

ICS has been out for the xoom for quite a while and there has even been a incremental update that followed:

as for a way to force the tab to look for updates, try this:

Clear Data from Google Services Framework Data(Some Google Applications might crash)

Go to Software updates (note that time has reset to 1969)

Click Check for updates

if you dont have any ICS update then you may see it after you have done the above.
