Help Any way to get my Car Stereo to think my Marquee is an IPOD/IPHONE?

HI all
I just got a Marquee and was wondering if there is any way to make my car head unit think it is an IPOD or IPHONE?
I currently have a large usb hard drive plugged in and the head unit allows me to sort through the folders but it is a little tedious. If an apple product is plugged in, it allows me to sort by genre, artist, etc...

So... is there anything I can do to make it think my phone is and IPOD/IPHONE? It currently treats it like the hard drive...

Hello and welcome, myselfnjit. Bluetooth could be an option, as RX says.

Car Adaptor Kit: iPod, Android, and iPhone car kits has a number of adaptors etc. It is one of dozens of links to various adaptors and interfaces I found. I wonder if it'd be useful for what you're looking for. Let me know, I'll gladly search around some more.

I feel as though I probably have it as good as it is gonna get but here is a better description of what I have:
when I plug my Marquee in via USB, the head reads it as a HD and allows me to sort through folders via the head unit and shows songs titles as they play and charges the phone.

the problem is the folder sorting is cumbersome and with all of the other folders on the phone, kinda crazy.

if you have an IPOD or IPHONE plugged in, it only sees the music and allows much nicer sorting options.

So I guess I am looking for a software option... something I could load onto the Marquee or do to it so that the the car head unit thinks it is an IPOD when I plug it in.

I doubt there's a way, and if so it is going to be time consuming and you're gonna end up hating it in the end.

This is how I see it. If you want to make your head unit think your phone is an iPod, the mod must be done on the head unit. If you do the work on the phone, you can wind up with a "faux" iPod. Your computer at home will start reading it as an iPod and screwy things could happen.

But that's just my hypothesis. Just stream that stuff through bluetooth or aux cable.
